McDonald’s will be extending its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks, as reported by Bloomberg. According to a memo from the fast-food giant, most U.S. locations have agreed to keep the promotion alive beyond its initial four-week launch period, which began on June 25.

The deal will be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, though the promotional timeline may differ by location, with some franchises continuing the offer until August.

As consumers face rising food prices and seek more affordable dining options, the McDonald’s bundle has proved beneficial for the company. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai reported a significant increase in customer visits shortly after the promotion was introduced, highlighting its popularity among diners.

The success of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast-casual dining chains to respond with their own promotions. Arby’s has introduced a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic recently launched a permanent $1.99 value menu. In June, Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King revealed that its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle will extend beyond McDonald’s offering, and plans to introduce new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined the fray with a $3 breakfast bundle, along with a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
