McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for a few additional weeks. According to a memo reported by Bloomberg, the majority of McDonald’s locations in the United States have agreed to keep the promotion going beyond its initial four-week launch that began on June 25.

The meal bundle will continue to be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s restaurants across the country, although the duration of the promotion may differ by location, with some franchises choosing to extend the offer until August.

As consumers grapple with rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, McDonald’s bundle is proving successful for the company. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai noted a significant increase in customer visits shortly after the introduction of the bundle, indicating a positive response from consumers.

The success of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast casual dining chains to respond with their own promotions. Arby’s has launched a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic now features a permanent $1.99 value menu. In June, Taco Bell announced its $7 Luxe Cravings Box for a limited time, alongside a $5 Taco Discovery Box and a Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King revealed it would extend its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle beyond the timeframe of McDonald’s offer. Additionally, the fast-food chain announced new items under their “Fiery Menu.” Meanwhile, Wendy’s has introduced its own discounts, including a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
