McDonald’s will continue its $5 meal deal for several more weeks, according to a memo from the fast food chain. Bloomberg reports that most McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have agreed to extend this promotion, which initially launched on June 25, beyond its original four-week period.

The $5 bundle will remain available at approximately 93% of restaurants nationwide, though the duration of the promotion may vary by location, with some extending it until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, this bundle has proved to be beneficial for McDonald’s. Foot traffic analytics company Placer.ai noted a significant increase in customers visiting the restaurants shortly after the promotion was introduced, indicating its popularity among diners.

Other fast casual dining chains have responded to McDonald’s successful offer by launching their own deals. Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has established a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King revealed that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would last longer than the McDonald’s promotion. It also announced new menu additions as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Additionally, Wendy’s has rolled out a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
