McDonald’s has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks, according to a memo reported by Bloomberg. The promotion, which initially started on June 25, will continue to be available at approximately 93% of McDonald’s locations across the United States, although the duration may differ by location, with some extending the deal until August.

With rising food prices impacting consumers, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, McDonald’s bundle has proven beneficial for the company. Foot traffic analysis from Placer.ai revealed a significant increase in customer visits to McDonald’s following the launch of this promotion, indicating its appeal to diners.

Other fast casual dining chains are now reacting to McDonald’s success by introducing their own competitive deals. Arby’s has rolled out a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has established a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its ongoing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King previously stated that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would remain available longer than McDonald’s offer, while also introducing new items under its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s is also participating in the promotional landscape with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 “Biggie Bag” combo.
