McDonald’s has decided to extend its popular $5 meal deal for several more weeks, according to a memo cited by Bloomberg. This promotion, which originally launched on June 25, will continue to be available at about 93% of McDonald’s locations across the United States. However, the duration of the deal may vary depending on the location, with some restaurants choosing to maintain the offer until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast-casual dining sector, McDonald’s meal bundle has been successful in attracting customers. A recent analysis from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai showed a significant increase in visitors to McDonald’s restaurants after the meal deal was introduced, suggesting that this promotion has resonated well with diners.

The popularity of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast-casual dining chains to introduce their own special offers. For example, Arby’s has launched a $9 meal bundle, while Sonic has implemented a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell has also joined the fray, offering a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box along with its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In response to McDonald’s move, Burger King announced that its $5 “Your Way Meal” would be available for a longer period. Additionally, it has introduced new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has also begun offering promotions, including a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
