Fast food giant McDonald’s is extending its $5 meal deal for a few more weeks.

According to a memo cited by Bloomberg, the majority of U.S.-based McDonald’s locations have agreed to continue the promotion beyond the initial four-week period, which officially began on June 25.

The bundle will now be available at approximately 93% of restaurants nationwide, although the duration of the promotion will vary by location. Some chains have decided to extend the deal until August.

At a time when consumers are grappling with high food prices, especially in fast casual dining, the McDonald’s bundle is proving successful for the company.

A recent report by foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai showed that McDonald’s experienced a significant increase in foot traffic after launching the bundle, indicating that the deal is resonating with consumers.

The success of McDonald’s promotion has prompted other fast casual dining chains to introduce their own deals. Arby’s has launched a $9 bundle, Sonic has introduced a permanent $1.99 value menu, and Taco Bell is offering a $7 Luxe Cravings Box for a limited time, in addition to its $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Burger King has extended its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle beyond McDonald’s offering, announcing in late May that it would also add new items to its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has also participated in the deal trend, introducing a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
