McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for a few more weeks, following positive feedback and increased foot traffic. According to a memo cited by Bloomberg, most U.S. McDonald’s locations have chosen to continue the promotion, which originally started on June 25 and was supposed to last four weeks.

The deal will remain available in about 93% of McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, though the duration of the offer may vary by location, with some restaurants planning to keep the deal until August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining segment, this meal bundle has proven beneficial for McDonald’s. Foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai reported a significant increase in visits to McDonald’s locations shortly after the promotion launched, indicating strong consumer response.

The success of McDonald’s deal has prompted other fast casual dining chains to introduce competitive offers. For instance, Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has established a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Burger King recently revealed that its $5 “Your Way Meal” will be available longer than the McDonald’s deal, while also adding new items to its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has contributed to the trend with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo termed the “Biggie Bag.”
