McDonald’s is extending its popular $5 meal deal for an additional few weeks, according to a memo reported by Bloomberg. The promotion, which began on June 25, will now be available at about 93% of McDonald’s locations across the United States, although the duration of the offer may vary by individual restaurant, with some choosing to continue the deal into August.

As consumers face rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, the McDonald’s bundle has proven to be successful. A recent analysis by foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai indicated a significant increase in customer visits to McDonald’s following the launch of the offer, suggesting that it resonates well with diners.

The success of McDonald’s promotion has prompted other fast casual dining chains to enhance their own offerings. For instance, Arby’s has introduced a $9 bundle, while Sonic has implemented a permanent $1.99 value menu. Taco Bell recently announced a $7 Luxe Cravings Box alongside its $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

Additionally, Burger King has extended its $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle beyond McDonald’s offering and has introduced new items as part of its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s is also participating in the competitive landscape with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo known as the “Biggie Bag.”
