Fast food powerhouse McDonald’s will extend its $5 meal deal promotion for several more weeks.

According to a report from Bloomberg, citing a memo from the company, most McDonald’s locations in the U.S. have decided to continue the promotion beyond its initial four-week timeframe, which began on June 25. Approximately 93% of restaurants across the nation will maintain this bundle, although the duration of the offer may differ by location, with some extending the deal until August.

As consumers grapple with rising food prices, particularly in the fast casual dining sector, McDonald’s promotion has proven beneficial for the company. A recent analysis from foot traffic analytics firm Placer.ai indicated that there was a significant increase in store visits shortly after the deal was launched, illustrating its appeal to consumers.

The success of McDonald’s $5 meal deal has prompted a competitive response from other fast casual dining chains, which are now introducing their own value promotions. Arby’s has rolled out a $9 bundle, and Sonic has introduced a permanent $1.99 value menu. Additionally, Taco Bell announced a limited-time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, alongside its existing $5 Taco Discovery Box and Cravings Value Menu.

In late May, Burger King indicated that its own $5 “Your Way Meal” would have an extended run, surpassing McDonald’s offer, while also introducing new items under its “Fiery Menu.” Wendy’s has joined the bargain scene with a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo called the “Biggie Bag.”
