Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck, known for their memorable roles in the 1986 classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” are in discussions to reunite in a new comedy titled “The Best Is Yet to Come.” This upcoming film is inspired by the 2019 French feature “Le Meilleur Reste à Venir.”
According to Deadline, the storyline revolves around two friends embarking on a road trip following a significant misunderstanding. Their journey is aimed at locating the estranged son of one of the friends and experiencing life in ways they have missed out on.
Directed by Jon Turteltaub, recognized for hits like “Cool Runnings” and “While You Were Sleeping,” the film is set to feature a script penned by Allan Loeb, known for works such as “The Dilemma” and “Just Go with It.”
Despite maintaining a strong friendship since their time working on “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” this marks the first time Broderick and Ruck will share the screen again.
