Matt Rife is taking his comedic talents to the stage in California as part of his upcoming Stay Golden comedy tour, which is set to kick off in 2025. The popular stand-up comic, who has gained significant recognition in recent years, revealed his tour plans, starting with a performance in Dallas on March 8.
Rife is scheduled to perform four shows in California, beginning with an April 12 appearance at the Save Mart Arena in Fresno, followed by a gig at the Viejas Arena in San Diego on April 13. He will then return to California later in the year for shows at the Honda Center in Anaheim on October 18 and the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountainview on October 19. In addition to these California dates, Rife’s tour will include several stops in cities like Honolulu, New York City, Montreal, Seattle, and St. Louis.
Wrapping up the Stay Golden Tour, he will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a show at Boston’s TD Garden. Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the public starting this Friday at noon local time, with an artist presale launching a day earlier.
Matt Rife is well-known for his sharp crowd work, which propelled him to viral fame on TikTok in 2022. His comedy specials, including “Matthew Steven Rife” from April 2023 and “Matt Rife: Natural Selection,” which debuted on Netflix in November 2023, have further solidified his place in the stand-up scene. Rife also made history as the youngest stand-up comedian to sell out the Hollywood Bowl during the Netflix Is a Joke Festival in May.
Though his recent ProbleMATTic World Tour experienced challenges, including a brief break due to exhaustion, Rife expressed gratitude for the unexpected success of his career. He shared that his goals have evolved considerably, stating he once only wished to sell out a single comedy club.
As Rife embarks on this promising new tour, it’s a reminder of the potential for growth and resilience in the pursuit of creative passions in the comedy world. His journey reflects an inspiring trajectory that resonates with many aspiring performers.
