A hacker has exposed nearly 10 billion passwords in what is being considered one of the largest leaks ever. The user, known as “ObamaCare,” posted the passwords in a file named “RockYou2024” on an online hacking forum on July 4, according to Cybernews. This has raised concerns that other hackers may use the data for cyber attacks. The extensive dataset adds 1.5 billion new plain text passwords obtained from data leaks to a previous compilation posted on the same forum in 2021, which was also named “RockYou2021.”
