Marvel Comics is preparing fans for the release of TRON: Ares, the next chapter in Disney’s sci-fi saga, which hits theaters on October 10. To celebrate, Marvel is unveiling a striking new batch of TRON: Ares Variant Covers that transform beloved heroes into neon-lit Programs within the digital Grid.
This is not Marvel’s first swing at TRON. In 2010, a set of TRON: Legacy variant covers thrilled collectors, and the collaboration returns bigger and bolder than ever. The new line imagines Marvel icons as Programs navigating the glowing, high-speed world of the Grid—fighting for the Users while donning glowing armor, riding Light Cycles, and crossing between two realities.
Each cover is brought to life by top-tier artists and draws inspiration from Ares, the film’s advanced Program charged with crossing from the digital realm into the real world on a dangerous mission.
