Excitement builds as Marvel Rivals unveils a new Marvel Zombies player-versus-environment (PvE) mode, set to launch just in time for Halloween on October 24. This mode draws inspiration from the Disney+ animated series Marvel Zombies, which itself is based on popular comic book storylines featuring the Marvel Universe’s most iconic characters.
Players will have the opportunity to control a formidable roster that includes Blade, Jeff the Shark, Magik, The Punisher, and Thor as they battle against relentless waves of the undead. In an effort to elevate gameplay, each hero is equipped with unique abilities designed to enhance combat effectiveness and provide varied experiences for players.
Danny Koo from Marvel Games explained the enhancements: “We’ve also given each hero some unique abilities. Charge through the hordes as Jeff, slice and dice with Blade’s bouncing Moon Blades, shock zombies with Thor in his persistent Awakened state, or go berserk as Magik in her unlimited Darkchild form. Showcase your epic combat skills against the zombie swarms and tough bosses!”
A teaser trailer has already been released, offering fans a glimpse into the thrilling encounters that await in the new mode. Marvel Rivals is currently available for Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5, and for fans of the genre, Marvel Zombies can be streamed on Disney+.
