Marriott International has announced the retirement of Neeraj Chadha, the Multi-Property Vice President for the Pacific Islands, effective January 31, 2026. This decision caps off a noteworthy career spanning over 17 years with the global hospitality leader.
Jason Nuell, the Regional Vice President for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, expressed a blend of gratitude and sadness regarding Chadha’s departure. “It is with deep appreciation and mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Neeraj Chadha,” Nuell remarked, acknowledging Chadha’s impactful tenure with the company.
Chadha embarked on his Marriott journey in 2003 as a general manager, a position he held until 2007. After a brief departure, he returned to the company in 2012, where he has since managed hotel operations in key locations, including Australia, Fiji, Samoa, and New Caledonia. Over the years, Chadha’s leadership roles have expanded, allowing him to oversee numerous properties throughout the Pacific Islands.
Nuell praised Chadha’s significant contributions beyond traditional hotel operations. He highlighted Chadha’s commitment to strengthening community connections across the Pacific region. “One of Neeraj’s most meaningful contributions has been his work in strengthening community ties throughout the Pacific,” Nuell noted, underscoring Chadha’s efforts in fostering local partnerships, promoting cultural understanding, and executing community engagement initiatives that have enriched the hotels’ roles within their respective locales.
Chadha’s leadership has not only encouraged local talent development but has also fostered enduring relationships within the hospitality sector. Although Marriott has not yet announced a successor, Nuell reassured that the groundwork laid by Chadha will continue to benefit teams across the region.
As Chadha prepares for retirement, Nuell invited everyone to celebrate Chadha’s impressive service and extend their best wishes for happiness to him and his family in the years ahead. The contributions of Neeraj Chadha have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on both Marriott International and the communities in which it operates, paving the way for a brighter future in the hospitality industry.
