Marriott International has announced that Neeraj Chadha, the Multi-Property Vice President for the Pacific Islands, will retire effective January 31, 2026. This marks the end of a distinguished career that has lasted more than 17 years with the global hospitality giant.

Jason Nuell, the Regional Vice President for Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific, expressed a mixture of gratitude and sorrow at the news. “It is with deep appreciation and mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Neeraj Chadha,” he stated, highlighting Chadha’s extensive and influential career with the company.

Chadha first joined Marriott in 2003 as a general manager, a role he held until 2007. After a brief separation from the company, he returned in 2012 and has since overseen hotel operations in various locations, including Australia, Fiji, Samoa, and New Caledonia. Over the years, he has taken on multiple leadership roles, ultimately advancing to manage several properties throughout the Pacific Islands.

Nuell credited Chadha with making significant contributions beyond hotel operations. He emphasized Chadha’s role in strengthening community ties across the Pacific region. “One of Neeraj’s most meaningful contributions has been his work in strengthening community ties throughout the Pacific,” Nuell remarked, noting his commitment to fostering local partnerships, encouraging cultural understanding, and implementing community engagement initiatives that have enhanced the hotels’ roles in the regions they serve.

Under Chadha’s leadership, local talent development flourished, and enduring relationships were built within the hospitality sector. While Marriott has yet to name a successor, Nuell assured that the foundation laid by Chadha would continue to benefit the teams throughout the region.

Nuell concluded by inviting everyone to show appreciation for Chadha’s remarkable service and to wish him and his family happiness in the future as he prepares for retirement. Chadha’s contributions have left a lasting impact on both the company and the communities in which it operates.
