Marquette Opens Four-Game Homestand Against Little Rock; Maryland on Deck

The Marquette University men’s basketball team is set to kick off a four-game homestand on Wednesday, November 12, when they take on Little Rock at 7 p.m. CT in Fiserv Forum. The match will be broadcast on ESPN+, featuring Josh Maurer as the play-by-play commentator and Brian Butch providing analysis. Marquette has a strong historical advantage over Little Rock, having triumphed in both previous meetings. The first encounter occurred during the First Bank Classic on December 8, 1990, where Marquette secured a decisive 75-44 victory. A decade later, on December 9, 2000, the two teams clashed again, resulting in a close 48-46 win for the Golden Eagles at the Bradley Center.

In addition to the excitement surrounding the basketball team, Marquette’s Hattie Bray has earned recognition as the Big East Defensive Player of the Week in volleyball. Bray delivered outstanding performances with an average of 2.00 blocks per set and 3.00 kills per set, leading the league with an impressive .533 hitting percentage. Her contributions were crucial in the Golden Eagles’ victories over St. John’s and Seton Hall, where she recorded significant blocks and kills, helping her team maintain a league-best opponent hitting percentage of .049.

As Marquette’s teams showcase competitiveness on the court, fans and the community remain optimistic about their prospects in both basketball and volleyball competitions.
