Mark Sonnenblick Signs with Kraft-Engel as Golden Climbs Billboard Charts

Exclusive: Mark Sonnenblick, the breakout songwriter behind Sony and Netflix’s Kpop Demon Hunters hit “Golden,” has signed with Kraft-Engel Management for representation and PAL Public Relations for publicity.

In his third week as the No. 1 songwriter on the Billboard Hot 100, Sonnenblick remains at the top, with Billboard reporting on August 16 that the track is still leading the charts even as the song dipped to No. 2 this week.

Sonnenblick co-wrote “Golden” with EJAE and The Black Label, a track that has amassed more than 350 million streams on Spotify. Directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have credited the song as a creative turning point, noting that the last song added to the film helped crystallize the story’s emotional arc and define the lead character’s “I Want” moment—an impact that has resonated well beyond the film.
