Nintendo has officially confirmed the impending release of “Mario Tennis Fever,” a new game for the Switch 2 set to debut on February 12, 2026. The highly anticipated title, revealed last year, promises to offer the most extensive roster of playable characters in the franchise’s history.

As the new tennis season kicks off, Nintendo has taken the opportunity to remind fans of the exciting features that “Mario Tennis Fever” will bring. The game will include a whopping roster of characters, featuring not only familiar favorites such as Daisy and Peach but also “36 other characters.” This marks a significant leap from “Mario Tennis Aces,” which offered a total of 30 playable characters, including those from downloadable content.

Players will have the chance to engage with beloved characters like Donkey Kong, Bowser, Rosalina, Yoshi, the Baby Mario crew, and even Petey Piranha. While many of the characters have been hinted at, Nintendo has yet to unveil the complete roster, leaving fans eager for more details.

Enhancing the gameplay experience, “Mario Tennis Fever” will introduce 30 unique “Fever Rackets,” each equipped with special abilities, broadening the strategic options for players. The game will feature multiple modes, including Tournament, Trial Towers, Mix It Up Mode—which will incorporate Wonder effects—and an Adventure Mode. Additionally, players can look forward to Joy-Con 2 motion controls that will enhance the interactive “Swing Mode” gameplay.

With a robust lineup of characters and modes, “Mario Tennis Fever” is positioned to excite both new players and longtime fans of the franchise when it launches next month.
