Marcus Jordan, the son of legendary NBA player Michael Jordan, was arrested in Orlando, Florida, early Tuesday morning on multiple charges including driving under the influence (DUI), cocaine possession, and resisting arrest without violence. The 34-year-old was taken into custody and booked at the Orange County Jail.
According to the arrest report, a police officer discovered Jordan’s blue Lamborghini SUV stuck on railroad tracks, with its tires embedded in dirt and rocks. When the officer approached, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Jordan reportedly claimed he had made a wrong turn and needed assistance.
Initially, both Jordan and a passenger in the SUV failed to exit the vehicle when asked, prompting the officer to order them out for safety reasons due to the nearby tracks. After exiting the SUV, Jordan admitted to consuming a few drinks but asserted that he was below the legal limit of .08. Following a field sobriety exercise, a search of his belongings revealed a bag of white powder, which later tested positive for cocaine.
During the arrest process, Jordan allegedly resisted, attempting to pull away and attempt to block the patrol car door. Notably, the arrest occurred months after he was seen in France in August 2024 in photos that appeared to show him inhaling a white powder at a social gathering. Moreover, his previous high-profile relationship with Larsa Pippen, ex-wife of NBA star Scottie Pippen, attracted considerable media attention, particularly given the historical tension it rekindled between the Jordan and Pippen families.
