Vodafone Fijiana’s rising star, Manuqalo Komaitai, has achieved a remarkable milestone by being named one of three finalists for the British Army Sportswoman of the Year award. Komaitai, a native of Bau Island in Tailevu, only began playing rugby in 2020. However, her impact on the sport has been profound, showcasing stellar performances both in the Army Rugby Union 7s circuit and for club teams like London Irish RFC and York Valkyrie RLFC. Her prowess on the field was notably highlighted in the 2024/25 season when she dominated as the number 8 for the Army XVs during the Inter-Services Championship, including an impressive four-try match against the RAF.
