Manhattan Beach is gearing up for a vibrant fall season, showcasing an exciting lineup of events that promise fun for residents and visitors alike. As summer fades, the community is poised to welcome festivities that celebrate local culture, raise funds for good causes, and bring the community together.

Kicking off the fall festivities on October 4 is the much-anticipated MB 10K Run, which attracts over 4,000 participants who race through the charming neighborhoods of Manhattan Beach. With local bands, enthusiastic cheering sections, and a race expo filled with snacks and giveaways, the event guarantees an energetic atmosphere for runners and spectators.

Following the run is the 52nd annual Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair on October 4-5. This two-day celebration features a lively parade, an array of games and activities for families, delicious food and drinks, and showcases local artists with crafts for sale. Organized by enthusiastic volunteers, the fair aims to benefit the community while providing a delightful experience for all.

On October 12, residents can support local heroes at the third annual pancake breakfast hosted by the Manhattan Beach Firefighters Association. For just $10, guests can enjoy delicious pancakes while contributing to essential community services.

The fun continues with the American Martyrs Parish Fair on October 18-19, an event that brings the neighborhood together for games, music, and tasty treats, celebrating its 54th year of creating community spirit.

Rounding out the month on October 19, the Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk invites families to stroll along the picturesque coastline from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier, supporting the Friendship Foundation and public education initiatives. Also on that day, the iconic Great Pumpkin Race engages the community’s competitive spirit as creatively decorated pumpkins race down a hill, culminating in a fun-filled tradition.

Families with young children will enjoy the 37th annual Family Halloween Carnival on October 25, featuring games, a costume parade, and a haunted house, ensuring a thrilling Halloween experience for kids aged 2 to 14. The celebration continues on October 29 with the safe and festive Trunk or Treat event, where decorated emergency vehicles will serve up goodies and tacos.

November brings more excitement with the Mira Costa Fall Play, showcasing the high school’s drama talents from November 7-15, and the Rotary VetFest on November 8, a heartfelt gathering that prioritizes local veterans and first responders, offering live music, food trucks, and resources for those who served.

November 15 sees the return of TEDx Manhattan Beach, an inspiring event that has become a staple in the local community, featuring innovative speakers whose ideas have reached millions online. To kick off the holiday season, the annual Pier Lighting and Holiday Open House will be celebrated on November 19, illuminating the pier and supporting local businesses while thanking the community for its patronage throughout the year.

The festivities will culminate on December 13 with the Santa Stroll, where participants don festive attire and walk along the Strand, supporting local charitable initiatives.
