Magic Awaits: First Glimpse of Disney’s Live-Action Snow White!

The first trailer for the live-action adaptation of Snow White has been unveiled. Disney released the teaser for the remake of the beloved 1937 animated film at D23 in Anaheim, California, on August 9. Starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, the film is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025.

The 1 minute and 17-second trailer features Zegler dancing and singing “Whistle While You Work” alongside the seven dwarfs, and later showcases Gadot ominously gazing into her magic mirror.

Rachel Zegler expressed her excitement about portraying the iconic Disney princess, stating, “It’s been the honor of a lifetime. I think any young person, any little girl, if you get to put on a Disney princess dress and be her for a day let alone six months… it’s just been the most amazing experience and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”

Gal Gadot also shared her enthusiasm, saying, “It was a lot of fun to get to do something that is completely different than anything I’ve ever done before. She’s delicious, she’s evil, she’s magical. We got to sing all these different songs. It was incredible.”

Directed by Marc Webb, known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man films, Snow White will feature music from Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duo behind The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen.

Originally, the film was planned to release in March of this year, but Disney delayed it due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
