The 49th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show is set to dazzle viewers tonight along the East River in New York City. This year’s event promises a spectacular lineup, featuring Academy Award-winning actress Ariana DeBose as the host, with performances from popular artists including the Jonas Brothers, Ava Max, Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, Eric Church, and Trisha Yearwood. The fireworks display is noted for its unique musical score that will accompany the visuals, crafted by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser.

For 2025, Macy’s is returning the fireworks to the East River after last year’s display was launched from the Hudson River. The show will originate from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, as well as four barges on the lower East River, specifically within the Seaport District, which stretches between Pier 17 and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport.

The festivities are expected to commence at approximately 9:25 p.m., with a special broadcast on NBC from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., also available to stream live on Peacock. For those who miss the initial airing, an encore presentation will be available at 10 p.m. Telemundo will provide a Spanish-language telecast at 9 p.m.

Attendees looking to catch a glimpse of the fireworks can find prime viewing spots throughout the city, with particular areas designated for easier access and viewing, including locations along Montgomery Street and Robert F. Wagner Sr. Place. Although tickets are not required for general admission, the Brooklyn Bridge Park will be ticketed, and registration for designated areas has already reached capacity.

With its blend of music, community, and spectacular fireworks, Macy’s 4th of July celebration continues to be a cherished tradition for many, inviting both New Yorkers and visitors to come together in celebration of the nation’s independence.
