Luxury Travel by Heart: Inside Jaclyn Sienna India’s Concierge Realm

Jaclyn Sienna India launched her luxury travel concierge service, Sienna Charles, in 2008 with the ambitious mindset to project success before it became a reality. At the time, she received inquiries from potential clients who would mention articles about her services, while in truth, she had no actual clientele to serve.

Fast forward sixteen years, and her strategy has proven effective. India now caters to high-profile clients, including public figures like former President George W. Bush and celebrities such as Mariah Carey. Her clientele typically has annual incomes exceeding $100 million, and they often seek extraordinary experiences that go beyond what they can easily arrange themselves.

India emphasizes the importance of personal connection and genuine care in her work. Drawing from her previous experience as a server, she understands the nuances of human interaction, which she considers crucial in fulfilling her clients’ needs. “It’s about leading from the heart,” she said.

Sienna Charles is renowned for its extensive network—over 2,000 contacts within the hospitality sector, encompassing high-end hotels, restaurants, and yacht services. India leverages these relationships to craft unique travel and dining experiences for her clients who may have specific visions but lack the necessary resources to achieve them.

She aims to provide not just exclusive access, but truly meaningful experiences. For instance, while she can arrange reservations at prestigious locations like the French Laundry restaurant in Napa, she prefers to recommend alternatives she finds more compelling. Her clients have enjoyed unique moments such as a candlelit dinner in Versailles and brunch on the Arc de Triomphe.

India also curates memorable encounters with notable figures; her clients have dined with families like the Hermes and Fendi clans. However, she recognizes that sometimes her clients’ requests can be quite simple. For example, when arranging a trip for Bush to Ethiopia, she ensured he had familiar comforts like peanut butter and non-alcoholic beer, along with a warm welcome from local children.

“I genuinely care about people,” India said, highlighting her daily interactions with everyone from taxi drivers to restaurant staff, all in the pursuit of authentic and enriching experiences for her clients.
