Check your lottery tickets, as two fortunate winners have emerged in Delaware.
A Mega Millions ticket worth $10,000 was sold in Delaware for the drawing on Friday, August 30, which had an estimated jackpot of $627 million, and the subsequent drawing on Tuesday, September 3, with a jackpot of $681 million.
The winning numbers from the Friday, August 30 drawing were 10-17-20-24-54, with the Mega Ball being 8 and the Megaplier at 4X. This ticket was purchased at the Wawa located at 902 N. DuPont Blvd. in Milford.
For the Tuesday, September 3 drawing, the winning numbers were 12-41-43-52-55, with the Mega Ball as 9 and the Megaplier also at 4X. This ticket was sold at the Wawa at 2754 Pulaski Highway in Glasgow.
Despite these wins, there were no grand prize winners in either the August 30 or September 3 drawings, pushing the jackpot to $740 million, with a cash option of $366.3 million.
The next drawing is scheduled for Friday, September 6, at 11 p.m. ET. Mega Millions drawings occur twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
In Delaware, tickets can be purchased until 9:45 p.m. ET on the day of the drawing, while in neighboring New Jersey and Pennsylvania, ticket sales extend until 9:59 p.m.
To play Mega Millions, participants select six numbers: five from a pool of 1 to 70 for the white balls and one from 1 to 25 for the golden Mega Ball. Those uncertain about choosing their own numbers can opt for the Easy Pick or Quick Pick feature, which randomly generates numbers.
Tickets for Mega Millions cost $2 each. In Pennsylvania and New Jersey, tickets are available for purchase online.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever recorded was $1.602 billion on August 8, 2023. Other significant jackpots include $1.537 billion in October 2018, $1.348 billion in January 2023, and $1.337 billion in July 2022.
