GREENVILLE — LSU women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey showcased her vibrant style during the SEC quarterfinals against No. 5 Oklahoma on March 6 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Dressed in a chic black pantsuit, she added a pop of color with a blue jacket adorned with bright orange, glittery basketball motifs and completed the look with black heels.
If the No. 4 seeded Tigers (26-4) can secure a victory against Oklahoma, they will advance to face No. 1 seed South Carolina (30-2) in the semifinals scheduled for March 7 at 4:30 PM.
Mulkey is recognized for her fashionable attire, which makes a statement both on and off the court. Earlier this season, the Tigers had a challenging matchup against South Carolina, falling to them 79-72 on Valentine’s Day, a game in which Mulkey sported a striking bright pink pantsuit festooned with black hearts.
This marks a notable moment for LSU, as it is the first time during Mulkey’s tenure, starting in 2021, that the team has not secured a top-3 seed in the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Tigers faced four conference defeats this season, with losses to Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Texas, and South Carolina.
Leading the LSU team in scoring is South Carolina transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley, who averages an impressive 14.1 points per game, contributing significantly to the team’s competitive edge.
With the SEC tournament progressing, fans are hopeful for an exciting performance from Mulkey and her Tigers as they aim for a deep run in the tournament.
