As Halloween approaches, children across Louisville are eagerly anticipating their annual trick-or-treating adventures, dressing up as everything from classic witches and ghosts to their beloved characters from movies, television, and video games. In addition to traditional trick-or-treating, families can enjoy various festive activities in the area, including the renowned Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular and Boo at the Zoo.
While Louisville does not establish a uniform time for trick-or-treating, many neighborhoods have their own scheduled hours. Most communities typically conduct trick-or-treating from 5 PM to 8 PM; however, it’s advisable to check with specific local communities for confirmation.
In particular neighborhoods, such as Hillcrest Avenue, trick-or-treating will occur on October 31 from 5 PM to 9 PM, although entry requires a ticket from designated points on Brownsboro Road or Frankfort Avenue. Similarly, Norton Commons will observe the same hours.
In Southern Indiana, several locales have set specific trick-or-treating times as well. In Charlestown, festivities will run from 6 PM to 8:30 PM, while Clarksville and Floyd County will host trick-or-treating from 6 PM to 8 PM. New Albany will mirror Charlestown’s schedule, with times set for 6 PM to 8:30 PM, and Sellersburg will also participate from 6 PM to 8 PM.
As children prepare their costumes and neighborhoods decorate for the spooky holiday, Halloween promises to provide a fun-filled evening of excitement and community spirit for families across the region.
