FORSYTH, Ga. — A man from Macon has been arrested in connection with the theft of over $1,000 worth of Georgia Lottery tickets, according to the Forsyth Police Department. Christian Scott Blackmon has faced multiple charges, including theft and forgery related to lottery tickets taken from local retail locations on July 12 and July 13.
Authorities received reports of thefts occurring at several gas stations in Forsyth, where an unidentified man was observed playing the Georgia Lottery Cash Pop game without making any payments. Subsequent investigations led by Lt. Thomas and in collaboration with the Georgia Lottery Commission pinpointed Blackmon as the prime suspect.
The thefts occurred at multiple establishments including Marathon Gas Station and Chevron on Tift College Drive, Fast Track Gas Station on N. Lee Street, and Royal 7 on Cabiness Avenue. The amount stolen from each location varied between $240 and $280, resulting in a cumulative theft totaling just more than $1,000.
Blackmon now faces serious charges, including the criminal attempt of theft by taking as well as forgery-related offenses concerning lottery tickets.
