Vulnerable families residing in Housing Assistance and Relief Trust (HART) communities across the country are experiencing a heartfelt Christmas, thanks to the Loloma Movement. This initiative, founded by an individual and supported by generous donors, is dedicated to providing food assistance to struggling families, ensuring that they can celebrate the holiday season.

This year, the spirit of giving through the Loloma Movement has profoundly impacted single parents and widows, offering them a reassuring reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for during a challenging time of year. The movement prioritizes support for those in need, particularly focusing on families within HART communities who often face increased difficulties during the holidays.

Maria Lasaqa, a single mother dependent on social welfare to support her children, shared her gratitude for the initiative. “I was wondering where I would get the money, as we had already used everything. On Sunday afternoon, we were told to gather at the hall for the food distribution. I was so relieved, and I thank God,” she remarked, highlighting the positive impact it has had on her family’s festive season.

Residents of HART have expressed how deeply touched they were by this unexpected kindness, especially considering that many households are led by single parents. The Loloma Movement has been diligent in reaching various communities across the nation, delivering support when it is most crucial.

In a touching expansion of their efforts, the movement recently traveled across the ocean to provide supplies to the Lomani Au Children’s Home in Savusavu, marking its 49th community outreach project. This dedication illustrates the commitment of the Loloma Movement to uplift families and foster a sense of community, making the holiday season brighter for those in need.
