Lois Lane Unplugged: Rachel Brosnahan’s Behind-the-Scenes Adventure

Rachel Brosnahan, who stars as Lois Lane in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film, recently shared insights from her experience on set in an interview with Amanda Seyfried for Interview Magazine. The conversation predominantly focused on Brosnahan’s vibrant journey through the filming of this much-anticipated DC reboot.

Brosnahan recounted her initial moments on set with co-star David Corenswet, who plays Superman, as they dove into one of the film’s intricate dialogue sequences. “We were shooting the 10-page scene that David and I had tested with,” she noted, likening the intimate setting to that of an indie film. This environment allowed them to fully explore their characters.

When Seyfried inquired about the nature of their first scene, Brosnahan humorously mentioned the lengthy preparation, quipping, “I think so. We made out for a couple of hours and then we shot a 10-page-long scene.”

The actress also revealed her involvement in stuntwork, teasing that she had performed a mysterious sequence that did not require wires but felt like it should have, crediting the talented stunt team for their safety measures. “It was nuts. [Laughs] The stunt team is the best in the world,” she said, highlighting the high stakes of action scenes.

One humorous anecdote involved filming alongside Superman’s dog, Krypto, or more accurately, a stand-in for the beloved character. “He’s so cute, but at least in my scene, there were limitations with the set,” she recounted, explaining how sometimes a person in a CGI suit took on the role. “I’ve never felt like a worse actor in my entire life,” she joked about acting with an imaginary dog present, reflecting the unique challenges actors face when working with CGI elements.

As the film gears up for its release in 2025, Brosnahan’s fun-loving and relatable persona further cements her role as the ideal Lois Lane. Her chemistry with Corenswet, evident from early footage, suggests their relationship will be a highlight of the film, promising excitement for superhero fans.

This positive outlook and the camaraderie shared among the cast hint at a film that might combine humor with heroism, ultimately appealing to a wide audience. With Brosnahan’s engaging spirit, audiences can look forward not just to action but also to memorable moments that bring heart to the superhero genre.
