Little League Baseball Takes Center Stage on ESPN: What to Expect?

ESPN is set to kick off its coverage of Little League Baseball on Thursday, July 31, showcasing region tournament games on ESPN+. In total, the network will air 10 tournaments, with championship games broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2 from August 5–8. This year, ESPN platforms, including actions currently underway on ESPN+, will feature over 300 games of both Little League Softball and Baseball, making it a significant event for young athletes and their fans.

The highlight of the season, the 78th Little League Baseball World Series presented by T-Mobile, will commence on Wednesday, August 13, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. This highly anticipated tournament consists of 38 games and will culminate with the championship match on Sunday, August 24, at 3 p.m. on ABC. The Little League Baseball World Series has a rich history on ABC, having started its broadcasts in 1963, making it the network’s longest-running partnership with a continuous league.

Fans can look forward to a talented lineup of commentators for the season. Notable play-by-play announcers include Trey Bender, Eric Frede, and Mark Brown. Analysis will be provided by a diverse group of seasoned professionals including Tim Kurkjian and Chris Burke among others.

The regional locations for the tournament include various areas, such as Great Lakes, Metro, Midwest, and Southeast regions, indicating a broad representation of talent from across the country. This year’s broadcast schedule features games across multiple days, ensuring plenty of opportunities for fans to support their favorite teams.

Additionally, ESPN will also broadcast the Senior League Baseball, Intermediate (50/70) Baseball, Junior League Baseball, Senior League Softball, and Junior League Softball World Series tournaments on ESPN+. With the availability of games and new features on the ESPN app this fall, fans can expect an enhanced viewing experience.
