In a charming setting at the park near Alfred-de-Musset Street, the literary company “3 mots de plus” has unveiled the details of its summer program, titled “Aux passants de l’été.”
Scheduled for July, August, and September 2025, the program will feature literary walks and public meetings that spotlight local authors from Saint-Brieuc, Morieux, and the surrounding region. The series kicks off on July 22 with six unique literary walks planned. The opening event features Maurice Guéguen, a poetry enthusiast, who has curated a special walk in his Robien neighborhood, highlighting poets who have passed through Saint-Brieuc, as explained by Michel Guyomard, the association’s president.
Another notable event will take place on August 5 in Pordic, where Frédérique Grosche will present Jules Gautier’s book “Se voir autre,” delving into the concept of “bovarysme” introduced by the philosopher. A subsequent event on August 12 in Saint-Donan will see René Walliot, a storyteller and craftsman, bringing local heritage to life. On August 9, a journey to Paimpol with the Pierre Loti association will explore the life of the famous writer-traveler, with carpooling options available from Saint-Brieuc.
Finally, two literary walks starting from the Bay Tourist Office on September 20 will feature a traveling reading of “La terre des prêtres,” a tragedy set in Léon, written by Yves Le Febvre. The following day, September 21, participants will delve into “Le sang noir” by Louis Guilloux, marking the 90th anniversary of its publication. This walk will explore the central character of the novel in relation to his possible real-life counterpart, Georges Palante, offering a unique perspective on Guilloux’s writing and text, as noted by Michel Guyomard.
