Linkin Park Unveils Major Changes: New Singer, Album, and More!

Linkin Park has officially announced significant updates, including a new singer, a new drummer, an upcoming album, and a fresh song release. On September 5, the iconic nu-metal band revealed that they will be releasing their first album since 2017, titled FROM ZERO, on November 15. Fans can pre-order or pre-save the album through Warner Records.

The band has welcomed Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as their new singer and Colin Brittain as the new drummer, joining long-standing members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn.

In addition to these changes, Linkin Park has dropped their first new song in seven years, titled “The Emptiness Machine,” which debuted during a livestream performance on their social media channels.

Mike Shinoda expressed enthusiasm about this new chapter in a statement, highlighting the album title’s connection to their origins and current evolution. He described the album as an exploration of the past, present, and future, blending their renowned sound with fresh energy. “We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead,” he stated.

Shinoda also shared his thoughts on the new lineup, noting the creative synergies they experienced while working with Armstrong and Brittain. “We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together,” he added.

Back in August, Linkin Park had teased a major announcement with a countdown clock on their website, set to conclude on August 28. However, when the countdown ended, there was no immediate revelation. Instead, it began to count up again, prompting fans to speculate that the news would be unveiled on September 5.

The band has been absent from the live performance scene since the tragic passing of founding member and vocalist Chester Bennington in July 2017, except for a tribute show held later that year.
