Linkin Park Unveils Bold New Era: New Singer, Album, and Tour!

Linkin Park has officially made a series of exciting announcements, marking a new chapter for the renowned nu-metal band. On September 5, they revealed the addition of a new lead singer, album details, a forthcoming tour, and the release of a fresh track.

The new album, titled FROM ZERO, is set to be released on November 15, making it the band’s first studio project since 2017. Fans can already pre-order and pre-save the album through Warner Records.

In significant news, Linkin Park has welcomed Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara as their new vocalist, and Colin Brittain has joined as the new drummer. Remaining members include Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn.

Additionally, Linkin Park has dropped their first new single in seven years, “The Emptiness Machine,” which premiered during a livestream performance on their social media platforms.

Mike Shinoda shared insights about this new phase for the band, stating that the album title pays homage to their beginnings as Xero and reflects their ongoing journey. He emphasized that the album captures the essence of their past, present, and future while staying true to their distinctive sound, infused with fresh energy and creativity. Shinoda expressed a deep appreciation for their new and longtime bandmates, friends, family, and fans.

Regarding the revamped lineup, Shinoda noted how enjoyable it has been to collaborate with Emily and Colin, voicing excitement about the vibrant new music they’ve created together. He mentioned that the band is blending familiar sonic elements with new explorations.

In late August, Linkin Park had teased fans with expectations of major news, leading to a countdown on their website that left many curious when it unexpectedly reset without an announcement. However, those who speculated that information would come on September 5 turned out to be correct, as the band declared significant updates on that date, prompting fans to engage with their message.

The announcements come after the tragic passing of founding member and vocalist Chester Bennington, who died by suicide on July 20, 2017, at the age of 41. Since then, the band has only performed at a tribute concert to honor his memory in late 2017.
