Linkin Park Reimagined: Major Lineup Changes and New Album Revealed!

Linkin Park has made an exciting announcement after months of speculation. On September 5, the iconic nu-metal band revealed significant changes, including a new singer, drummer, an upcoming album, a new tour, and the release of a single.

The band will drop their first album since 2017, titled FROM ZERO, on November 15, with pre-orders and pre-saves available through Warner Records. Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara has stepped in as the new lead singer, joined by Colin Brittain as the new drummer. The lineup also features longstanding members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn.

In addition to the album news, Linkin Park has unveiled their first new track in seven years, “The Emptiness Machine.” This announcement was made during a livestream performance on their social media platforms.

Mike Shinoda commented on this new chapter, explaining that the album’s title reflects both their beginnings and their current journey. He described the music as a blend of their signature style while being fresh and alive, created with a profound appreciation for their bandmates, fans, and family.

Shinoda also praised the new additions to the band, expressing excitement about the skills and creativity that Emily and Colin bring. He noted that the collaboration has empowered the group and resulted in vibrant new music while still maintaining their distinctive sound.

Linkin Park had initially teased major news with a countdown clock on their website, which didn’t deliver on its promised release. However, fans who noticed a glitch during the countdown ultimately predicted the announcement would come on September 5.

The band’s journey has been marked by the tragic loss of founding member Chester Bennington, who died by suicide in July 2017. Since then, Linkin Park has only performed once, at a tribute concert in the fall of that year.
