The trial for Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother facing charges of murdering her three children, has been rescheduled for July 20, 2026. This decision comes after both the defense and prosecution acknowledged the extensive discovery required for this case, prompting the need for further preparation time. The trial had been initially set for February 9 but has already been postponed on two occasions prior to this change.

During a hearing on Tuesday, the judge confirmed the new trial date while also scheduling a status hearing for January 27 and a final pretrial hearing for July 13. Clancy was present for the hearing via Zoom and is currently confined to a wheelchair, raising logistical considerations for her transportation to court.

The judge denied a motion from the defense to move the trial to Boston amid concerns about the intense media attention the case has attracted. The next steps will involve discussions about security and transportation for Clancy.

Clancy has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her three children—5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan—who tragically lost their lives on January 24, 2023. After the incident, she reportedly attempted to take her own life by jumping from a window and injuring herself.

In light of the sensitive nature of this case, individuals facing domestic violence or mental health crises are encouraged to seek help. The National Domestic Violence Hotline and the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline stand ready to offer support to those in need.
