Lincoln Center Theater has unveiled its exciting 2025-26 season lineup, featuring productions across the Vivian Beaumont, Mitzi E. Newhouse, and Claire Tow Theaters, along with various special events and programming. This season marks the inaugural offering under the guidance of a freshly appointed executive team, including artistic director Lear deBessonet and managing director Mike Schleifer, among others.
The season kicks off at the Vivian Beaumont Theater with a Broadway production of deBessonet’s revival of “Ragtime,” which had previously been showcased at the New York City Center Gala. This anticipated production will star Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy, and Brandon Uranowitz. An additional Broadway production for this venue will soon be revealed.
At the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, the season will begin with the U.S. premiere of “Kyoto,” a production from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Good Chance, written by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson. This play, co-directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin, features Tony Award nominee Stephen Kunken. Following this, a family-friendly holiday opera presentation of Gian Carlo Menotti’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors” will run from December 16 to January 4, 2026, directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon and featuring the renowned mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato in partnership with the Metropolitan Opera.
The season will conclude with “The Whoopi Monologues,” a reimagining of Whoopi Goldberg’s iconic 1984 Broadway play. Directed by Whitney White, the show will present an ensemble cast headed by Emmy Award winner Kerry Washington and Tony Award winner Kara Young, with additional cast members set to be announced.
LCT3 at the Claire Tow Theater will showcase a diverse range of productions, including “The Comedy Series” featuring comedians like Jenny Slate, a new musical titled “Night Side Songs,” and “A Woman Among Women” by Julia May Jonas. Additionally, the season will feature a free silent disco listening party of the “Warriors” concept album by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis, and community choir events.
This robust season promises to deliver a rich assortment of performances and programming, representing a new chapter in Lincoln Center Theater’s artistic journey.
