Liberty University’s softball program earned national recognition for academic excellence as the Lady Flames were named an NFCA All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 academic year, marking the 10th time in the last 12 years the program has earned the honor. In addition, 15 Liberty student-athletes earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete distinctions.
The team posted a 3.26 team GPA for 2024-25, while Saint Louis recorded the highest GPA in the nation at 3.91. The NFCA All-Academic Team award goes to member institutions with a 3.0 or higher GPA for the year, with 163 NCAA Division I schools earning the designation.
Liberty’s Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list includes players across multiple class years—redshirt seniors, seniors, juniors, redshirt sophomores, sophomores and freshmen—reflecting widespread academic success within the program. The Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honor is awarded to student-athletes who posted a 3.50 GPA or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. Nationwide, 9,199 softball student-athletes earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete distinctions across seven divisions, including 2,544 honorees from NCAA Division I.
This sustained academic achievement underscores Liberty’s commitment to student development and can bolster recruiting by highlighting a proven culture of excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
