Commercial truck drivers like Jeanine Vanlierop shared insights into their ordeals while stuck near the U.S.-Canada border. Having been in the trucking industry for 15 years, Vanlierop expressed that these delays were unprecedented, impacting not only their schedules but also their income, as many drivers were left without pay during the prolonged wait. Fortunately, Vanlierop’s company, Schneider National, offered compensation for the downtime.
