Singer and actress LeToya Luckett is set to star in a new Lifetime film titled The Millwood Murders: Buried Truth, which will premiere on Sunday, January 25, 2026. In this gripping narrative, Luckett is joined by co-stars Rainbow Sun Francks and Amanda Thamage, as they delve into themes of motherhood, justice, and the emotional toll of navigating a flawed legal system.

The film tells the story of a prosecutor whose personal and professional lives intersect in tragic ways. After testifying against her husband and securing a death sentence for him, she believes justice is served—until her daughter goes missing just days before his execution. As the urgency escalates, the prosecutor is confronted with startling new evidence that suggests the real killer may still be free.

This project adds to LeToya Luckett’s impressive lineup of roles in Lifetime films. She previously appeared in the 2024 thriller I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead, alongside Angela “Blac Chyna” White and other notable actors. In 2022, she was featured in Line Sisters with Kierra Sheard-Kelly and had a role in Lust: A Seven Deadly Sins Saga the year prior, sharing the screen with R&B stars Keri Hilson and Tank.

Reflecting on her role in Line Sisters, Luckett expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, noting how the film resonated with her personal experiences and emotions. “There were so many different layers to this film,” she shared, emphasizing the depth of storytelling that influenced her decision to be part of the project.

With its compelling premise and Luckett’s proven talent, The Millwood Murders promises to be an engaging addition to the thriller genre, exploring the complexities of justice and the relentless pursuit of truth.
