Jayden Bogle has recovered from a foot injury sustained in Leeds United’s recent victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers and is expected to be available for their upcoming match against Bournemouth. After leaving the game hobbling, the 25-year-old right-back returned to training at Thorp Arch on Wednesday, providing a boost for the team.
Another positive development comes with the return of Wales international Daniel James. Substituted due to a core injury during a match against Fulham, James was absent from last weekend’s game but has since rejoined team training. His participation in the game against Bournemouth will depend on how well he responds to the training load.
However, Leeds will still be missing winger Wilfried Gnonto, who remains out with a calf injury. Manager Daniel Farke confirmed this absence during a Thursday press conference, indicating that Gnonto has not resumed team training.
In terms of goalkeeping duties, Karl Darlow is set to continue in goal following his impressive performances against Fulham and Wolves. First-choice goalkeeper Lucas Perri remains sidelined as he recovers from a quad injury and is not expected back to full training until sometime after the international break.
Farke expressed no hesitation in sticking with Darlow for the weekend’s game, as Perri has yet to return to team training. The manager emphasized that even when Perri returns, gradual reintegration is necessary to regain full fitness after his time away from the field.
This mix of updates presents a cautiously optimistic outlook for Leeds United as they prepare to face Bournemouth, with key players returning and a solid goalkeeper performance expected to continue.
