Leah Remini and Angelo Pagán have recently announced their decision to separate after 21 years together, both on and off-screen. The couple, who wed in 2003, shared their news via a joint Instagram post on August 29, expressing that the decision was made after careful consideration. They conveyed a hopeful outlook on their divorce, stating it was for the best.

Remini and Pagán, both performers, crossed paths in 1996 at the Cuban club El Floridita in Los Angeles, where Pagán was performing. Remini described it as “love at first sight.” Following their connection, Pagán frequently appeared in guest roles on Remini’s sitcoms, including CBS’s “The King of Queens,” “Kevin Can Wait,” and “Fired Up.” They also starred together in two seasons of TLC’s reality show “Leah Remini: It’s All Relative” from 2014 to 2015.

Pagán, an accomplished actor and singer, still performs and co-hosts shows in Los Angeles. His Instagram highlights his roles as an actor, singer, producer, entrepreneur, and dedicated father. He has made appearances in series like “Bosch: Legacy,” “Shameless,” and “The Last Ship,” as well as in films such as “Garlic & Gunpowder” and “7th and Union.”

In addition to his entertainment career, Pagán co-owns Vivian’s Millennium Café in Studio City, California, in partnership with Remini’s mother and stepfather.

Pagán appeared in six episodes of “The King of Queens,” playing various characters, including Rico, a colleague of Doug’s, and Dr. Garcia.

He has a daughter, Sofia Bella, born in 2004, with Remini, as well as three sons, Angelo Jr., Alex, and Nico, from a previous relationship. He recently shared a touching Instagram video celebrating Sofia’s prom and her transition to college.

Remini has opened up about the initial challenges in their relationship, referring to Pagán in her memoir as a “serial cheater.” She recounted how their connection evolved despite the rocky start, and they sought counseling, eventually marrying six years later after Remini left the Church of Scientology in 2013. Remini has reflected on their tough beginnings, acknowledging the hard work they put into their relationship.
