The Regional Functional Center for Civil Protection of Lazio has issued a new alert regarding hydrogeological and hydraulic criticality, following the directive from the Prime Minister’s Office on February 27, 2004.

According to the document “Synoptic Forecast and QPF,” published by the National Civil Protection Department on October 29, 2025, isolated to scattered precipitation is expected, potentially including showers or storms, particularly affecting the coastal sectors of the region. Expected rainfall amounts range from light to moderate, which may lead to situations of potential criticality in the area.

Taking into account the spatial and temporal characteristics of the weather phenomena, the saturation levels of soils, river levels, and information provided by local monitoring stations, the Regional Functional Center has assessed the alert/criticality levels. The alert is set to start early morning on Thursday, October 30, 2025, and will remain in effect for the following 18 to 24 hours.

Local authorities and municipalities are urged to activate the necessary operational phases outlined in their Civil Protection plans, implementing all requisite measures based on the identified levels of criticality, as established by regional directives on the alert system for weather, hydrogeological, and hydraulic risks.

Residents are advised to stay alert to the changing weather conditions, avoid unnecessary travel in the most exposed areas, and adhere to guidelines provided by the relevant authorities. This proactive approach emphasizes the importance of preparedness and community cooperation in facing potential adverse weather events.
