He noted that the ATP’s support reinforces the vision of the Laver Cup, which aims to unite the world’s best players as teammates, honor the legendary Rod Laver, and foster interest in tennis worldwide.

ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi remarked on the event’s significance, highlighting the enthusiastic response from players and fans at each venue. He emphasized the potential of the Laver Cup to draw new audiences to tennis.

Roger Federer, co-founder of the Laver Cup, expressed pride in the event’s achievements since its inception. He recognized the five-year recognition as part of the ATP Tour as a key milestone and looked forward to its future growth.

This year’s Laver Cup will also mark the final appearance of iconic captains Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe, who have led Team Europe and Team World since the tournament’s launch in 2017. Borg reflected on the event’s values and the honor of leading such talented players, while McEnroe praised the event’s essence of competition and sportsmanship and expressed excitement for its continued impact.
