The Lautoka City Council is actively collaborating with the recruitment firm KPMG to find a new chief executive officer, as disclosed by board chairperson Taitusi Rasoki. This initiative was shared during the official opening ceremony of the newly upgraded Lautoka bus terminal, which cost $2.8 million, held on Monday.

Mr. Rasoki emphasized the importance of appointing a competent CEO to enhance the council’s service delivery standards. He expressed optimism that the right candidate, in conjunction with the current special administrators and management, could significantly elevate the quality of services provided to the residents of Lautoka.

Reflecting on the successful completion of the bus terminal’s upgrade, Rasoki extended gratitude to the project consultants, West End Consulting PTE Ltd, and contractors, Hot Spring High Services PTE Ltd, for finishing the project on schedule and within the allocated budget. He articulated that this new leadership appointment aligns with their commitment to delivering results that the community can see and appreciate, as demonstrated by the inauguration of the terminal.
