The $3 million upgrade of the Lautoka Bus Station is approaching its completion, with officials confirming that the project remains on track to finish this month. Taitusi Rasoki, chairperson of the Lautoka Board of Special Administrators, expressed confidence in the ongoing construction progress, asserting that the project will meet its original completion targets without facing any delays or requiring additional funding. “The project will be completed before the end of January, still within the agreed timeline,” he stated.

Rasoki addressed budgetary concerns, assuring that the upgrade has not encountered any major challenges that would necessitate extra financial support. “There is no pushback as you anticipate, so there’s no need for additional funding,” he clarified, emphasizing that the construction is on schedule and the anticipated handover date remains unchanged.
