Lautoka Women’s FC secured a dramatic 1–0 victory over Nasinu Women’s FC, thanks to a stunning goal from Titilia Latui in the 88th minute. This pivotal win guarantees Lautoka’s promotion to the Fiji Football Association (FFA) Women’s Super League for the 2026 season.

The playoff, held at the FFA Academy ground in Vatuwaqa, was a fiercely contested match, demonstrating the strategic play from both sides. Nasinu’s defense proved resilient while Lautoka consistently applied pressure, searching for the decisive goal. Latui’s late strike not only shattered the tie but also sparked celebration among the Lautoka team.

This victory is a significant milestone for Lautoka Women’s FC, who will take Tailevu Naitasiri Women’s FC’s place in the premier division this season. The team is especially promising, with an average age of just 17, indicating a bright trajectory ahead.

Under the leadership of manager Madam Riya and coach Rohitesh Naicker, and with the support of Lautoka Football Association President Shalendra Prasad, Lautoka reached the playoff after an impressive run in the Western Zone of the 2025 FFA Women’s Senior League. They concluded the league with a perfect record, winning all six matches, scoring 26 goals, and conceding only two, accumulating 18 points.

Both teams entered this playoff undefeated, emphasizing the high stakes and competitive spirit of the game. This historic victory propels Lautoka Women’s FC into a promising future within the league, laying the groundwork for them to make a notable impact in the upcoming season with their dynamic young roster and formidable performance.
