LARK Whisky has made its debut in the Fijian market with an exclusive launch event held at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, organized in collaboration with the Motibhai Group of Companies. The invitation-only affair took place on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the resort’s 17.78 Whisky Bar, a venue increasingly recognized as a top destination for whisky enthusiasts in Fiji.
Stewart Graham from LARK expressed his excitement about introducing the Tasmanian single malt brand to the Fijian audience. He emphasized the significance of Tasmania’s unique climate and natural resources in influencing the distinctive character of the whisky produced there. During the event, 29 specially invited guests had the opportunity to indulge in a tasting session featuring four unique expressions, all new to the Fijian market. These included the Lark Classic Cask Single Malt Whisky, Lark Tasmanian Peated Single Malt Whisky, the Lark Chinotto Citrus Cask Single Malt Whisky, and an exclusive single cask release, the Lark LD-2801 Bourbon Cask.
The tasting was further enhanced by a detailed explanation of each whisky’s tasting notes and production methods. Sudhir Yadav, the General Manager of Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, highlighted the event as a testament to the resort’s commitment to providing world-class beverage experiences. He reaffirmed the 17.78 Whisky Bar’s status as a growing hotspot for whisky aficionados in Fiji.
Nilesh V. Patel, Executive Director of Motibhai Group of Companies, noted that their partnership with LARK aligns with their aim to introduce high-quality international brands to the local market. To complement the rich tasting experience, the resort’s culinary team prepared a selection of light bites, intended to cleanse the palate and enhance enjoyment of the whiskies.
This launch marks an exciting new chapter for whisky lovers in Fiji, providing them with the opportunity to savor internationally acclaimed brands and experience exceptional craftsmanship from Tasmania.
