Largest Christmas Tree Lights Up Labasa as Northern Division Kicks Off Festive Season

The Labasa community is set to embrace the festive spirit this evening with the lighting of the largest Christmas tree ever installed in the Northern Division. This grand occasion marks the official start of the holiday season and serves as a symbol of unity among diverse communities.

The Colgate Christmas Tree Lighting, organized in partnership with Damodar Labasa, is currently putting the finishing touches on the spectacular display ahead of tonight’s celebrations. Adrian Romanin, the General Manager for Colgate-Palmolive Fiji & the Pacific, highlighted that the event transcends simply illuminating a tree; it represents an opportunity for connection and creating cherished memories within the community.

“Christmas is just another one of those opportunities for us to give back to the community. During the festive season, it’s all about connection and positivity—and behind all of that is the smile. So, it’s a very natural fit, but the main thing is bringing everyone together and celebrating a fantastic year,” Romanin expressed.

Attendees can look forward to an exciting celebration filled with live entertainment, Christmas carols, choir performances, generous giveaways, and a unique Fiji-style snow experience for families to enjoy.

Festivities are set to commence at 4 PM in front of the Damodar Cinema in Labasa, encouraging the public to join in this evening of love, joy, and community spirit. The event promises to foster a sense of togetherness, reminding everyone that even during the busiest seasons, community unity and joyful celebrations can shine through.
